Elimite is a dermatologically-friendly cream used for treating contagious skin infection caused by the mite Sarcoptes scabiei, characterized by intense itching, inflammation, and the formation of vesicles and pustules (scabies).
Elimite is to be applied to the skin as directed by your health care provider. Study the instructions to the drug provided in the manufacturer’s container before the applications and scan for the possible contraindications to find out if any of them apply to you. Apply the sufficient quantity of the cream to your skin starting from the head and gradually moving down to your feet. Rub the cream into your skin with delicate circular moves; finish with applying Elimite to the soles of your feet. The cream does not need to be rubbed into the scalp in adult patients while for children it is recommended. Remove the cream with water and soap / shower gel after 8-14 hours. You may experience itching after removing the cream; this, however, is normal reaction unless not persistent for more than 14 days.
